If you are working and living in Nansha or thinking about investing there, you are about to enjoy much more convenience thanks to the district’s newly launched one-stop service. The service counter is located in its administrative service center and is designed to handle consultations with and applications from investors and job-seekers from Hong Kong, Macao and overseas.
The window integrates the services offered by different government departments such as Public Security and Human Resources & Social Security, which means expats are now able to complete applications for residency, employment, R&D and overseas investment without traipsing around a hundred different places.
"The service counter can handle 30 types of applications such as Visas, residence permit and work permit, and this will increase to 74 in the future," said Zhao Teli, Deputy Director of Nansha's Administrative and Data Management Bureau, "our officials specialize in English, Japanese and Cantonese. And we will offer more languages based on demand".
Ben, a Chilean who just obtained a business license in Nansha said he benefited a lot from this new platform. “I used to rely on third parties such as lawyers and translators. This platform enables foreigners to reduce time and costs. Now simple paperwork can just be completed without third parties.”
The launch of this platform is one of the 7 new administrative services that Nansha highlighted during the 4rd anniversary of the establishment of Nansha Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
Nansha has been continuing to optimize its administrative services in order to create an international environment and attract enterprises worldwide. For example, the district has adopted a new business registration model which allows people to fill in basic information online and obtain a business license in half a day after automatic checks are completed. It is also working with overseas banks and chambers to provide services overseas.
